Welcome to the Age of Consciousness

When we try to understand the world from the outside in, we lead ourselves straight into a state of confusion and distress. On life's road to happiness, the destination we each seek, we must navigate from the inside out. If we expand into our surroundings, we can shape life the way we want rather than letting it shape us in ways we don't want. If we grow this way, we develop the spaces necessary to adequately carry the weight of our existence. We cannot fill ourselves from the outside in. If we try, we'll damage or destroy irreplaceable components of our identities.
We cannot control external chaos. We can ground ourselves so that we can branch out without being ripped down by the strong winds of things beyond our control. Then, we will dance gracefully in whatever storm we're planted in. The only platform we can securely build our happiness on is balanced ground. To find this balanced area, we must trust ourselves. To trust ourselves, we must know ourselves-- our whole selves: mind, body, and spirit.
We must journey into ourselves before we can peacefully journey into the world. If we study our inner compasses and learn the way they function. We have to examine the shadows and the light. We have to master the entire composition of our being. This way, we will walk our highest paths. And if we each follow this path, in our own individual ways, we will all eventually meet at the same destination: that of harmony and happiness-- individually and globally.
This is our awakening. Welcome to the age of Consciousness.
